Beloved in Christ:

Thanks for making this a blessed first week here on the blog.

While situations in different churches are volatile right now, I believe this is a good thing, overall. The congregations are getting stronger. Keep commenting and keep praying!

Over this weekend and in the next few weeks I will be doing some general housekeeping and testing on the blog. If things are not as they were or if there is sporadic access, not to fear…testing is going on. I’ll try to do this during the late hours so as not to limit access here. There’s some good dialogue going on with church members here I don’t want to stop.

Take care and have a fantastic weekend. I will still be monitoring for comments and such.

I will use this post in the future to post comments regarding technical issues and updates to the blog.

Just putting this in the recent comments cue to make sure it gets read.

Apologies the site was down all of last night (Friday).  Guy from sgmsurvivors.com has saved the day.  Be sure to thank him.

We’re all in it together PK. :)

  4. happymom says:

    Thanks Guy!

    Where’s the smiley face icon?

  5. Waters says:

    Thankyou, Guy!
And thankyou, Guy and Kris for your work over at Survivors!

  6. Defended says:

psssst……where are the links to other blog sites on the home page? :)

  7. Protestant Knight says:

    Hi Defended:

We’re still working on getting all widgets and misc. other items up and working. We are still in our “housekeeping weekend” here at the ‘fuge.

    Thanks.

  8. Guy says:

Okey Dokey …. Links are back in HappyLand.

  9. Protestant Knight says:

Thanks everyone for your patience in page/link rearrangements.  Your Story and Moving On now have redirects to posts titled “Your Story 2″ and “Moving On 2.”  The older posts (at over 650+ comments) were hard to load on older systems.  The older posts are still available as read-only, but closed to comments.

    Thanks!

There are now category tabs below the “SGM Refuge & Reform” header text to link you to posts that touch on one or more of those categories.

Holy cow.  This is just too upscale for me!

    :-)

  12. Stunned says:

I agree, RT.  I don’t even know what you said in that last post, PK.  I may just need to go back to writing on the cave walls with a sharp stick.

  13. Protestant Knight says:

    Hi Stunned:

At the top of the page, under the words “SGM Refuge and Reform” are square category tabs/boxes labeled General, Churces, Polity, Testimonies and Theology.  By clicking on each those you find previous posts here at the ‘fuge that fall under those particular subjects.  Just another way to look up past posts.

No need to write on cave walls…lol.

  14. Stunned says:

You’re determined to drag me into the 20th century, aren’t you?  ;-)   Thanks for the explanation.  This old gal needs ‘em once in a while.

  15. DB says:

Stunned, that would create a temporal anomoly, now, wouldn’t it?

Although the thought of your 21st century self meeting your sgm 20th century old self is oddly entertaining.

    Beloved in Christ:

“Word Wednesday” is designed to make hump day one of simple blessings from God’s word.  I will not post any accompanying commentary with it (within the post itself), but anyone and everyone is welcome to comment or share how God’s precious word has impacted them…or simply just enjoy it without feeling any need to comment.  It’s not intended as a devotional or a sermon.  His Word is powerful enough to meet us right where we are at.  No pressure any way around, just thought I would ‘splain a little my rationale behind “Word Wednesday.”

    Thanks,

    –pk

  17. Protestant Knight says:

    Additionally…

“sgmreform.com” and “sgmreform.net” will redirect here to the ‘fuge.

  18. RT says:

Whoa.  I feel so very organized.

Word Wednesday is a wonderful idea.  Thanks, PK

  19. Waters says:

Excellent idea, PK!  What strength and encouragement and discernment we may
receive from the Living Word!  Looking forward to the mid-week   “Word
    Wednesday”!!

  20. Stunned says:

DB, I’m no where near ready for the 21st century.  Still have my bloomers on when I wade into the water.  Leave me in 1990 and go on without me…

  21. Stunned says:

    Word.

    (Like I could resist.)

  22. DB says:

    Word is word

When word is heard, it’s like a church that shouts, “Amen.” ~~DC Talk~~

    Regulars at the ‘fuge:

On the advice of a good friend (whose name starts with a J), and encouragement from mi esposa (whose initials you all know) I have decided take care of trolls and predators on the back end of the blog, out of view from the saints who value this place as a refuge.  No more public red alerts, as this is what trolls want.  If a troll situation arises I haven’t become aware of yet, let us know via email ASAP:

    protestantknight-at-gmail-dot-com
    protestantdame-at-gmail-dot-com

I will do my best in the future to keep an environment here rich in God, while watching our backside.

Bumping this to the top of the recent comments cue to make sure September 7, 2010 at 10:36 pm gets read. Thanks–pk

  25. Protestant Knight says:

    Hi folks:

I am afraid I got a little overzealous in my deletion of what shows up as SPAM here, and I may have deleted someone’s comment accidentally; apologies, and please re-post if you don’t see your show up in a timely fashion.

    Once again, apologies!

  26. Protestant Dame says:

    The Knight, overzealous? Naahhhhh.

  27. Protestant Knight says:

    Beloved in Christ:

The plan here at the ‘fuge is to have new posts Mondays and Fridays, with Word Wednesdays falling on (drum roll) Wednesdays (crash)!  we’ll keep this up as long as we can, without a constant-change-is-here-to-stay disclaimer.

[Thank you, I'm here all week...]
