Brothers and Sisters in Christ:
As this is the first day PD and I will moderating (albeit with training wheels and wet, unfinished ink on our school-of-hard-knocks diplomas), I have nothing major to post other than a request for any and all to continue to communicate your love for Jim and Carole. A lot of their blood sweat and tears are in the bricks and mortar of this blog.
My beginning business here is to communicate my love for all of you, as well. Many have prayed, conversed, supported, put it on the line with PD and I, and we are very grateful for that (thank you).
More background on me to come, but Irv has known me since I was ten years old (just as long as PD has). I will be relying on him and others here to provide the side rails while I drive the bumper car that is my word processor. No pressure, Irv.
Anyway, I’ve rambled long enough…I’ll try to post again by Friday, but in the meantime I’ll be making comments, for sure…

Cool toy,PK!
PK & PD,
Thank you for continuing the work here.
You are in our prayers!
Rock on, PK!
I love the chess piece!
One of my favorite verses is Prov. 18:10 which, from memory is something like:
The name of the Lord is a strong tower
The righteous run to it and are saved.
Well, in my mind, my Jesus, my strong tower is like the tower of the Rook!

So let us charge forward, with full armor, yet knowing we are kept safe by Him whose name is a strong tower!
PK, Thanx for taking over the blog, I know that jim is grateful to have left it in capable hands. For all of the non regulars who will read these post. PK is a great teacher and a gifted person when it comes to theology and biblical questions. I personally have benefited from his advice many times. I am looking forward to great discussions on this blog.
Thanks for taking on a tough job, PK and PD. This has been such a healing place for the saints. I’m so glad it will continue to be so.
PK and PD,
Love how this journey is continuing! So true- Jim and Carole have surely set
the foundations of Refuge with integrity of heart and a desire for Truth.
I can only imagine all the work (And sometimes burden) of not only the maintenance for this blog but the “behind the scenes” interractions. True soldiers, are they!
PK and PD — there is a peace in knowing you are “there” (and that Jim and Carole are ‘cheering us on’ and will continue in participation). You have, I believe, come
THROUGH a “fire” — as if you have been tested —— God is doing a work here –
I pray we all have “eyes to see” and “ears to hear” as we go forward.
Thankyou for answering with a “yes”.
I recall one of the most recent times PD posted she asked for prayer for PK — do keep us posted—so important to especially now uplift and surround you two in prayer.
“Peace be to PD and PK and to the Brethren, and love with faith, from God the Father
and the Lord Jesus Christ. Grace be with all those who love our Lord Jesus Christ
with incorruptible love.” (Ephesians 6: 23-24)
You were doing fine until you said I have known since you were ten. You have lost some credibility because people will think you are just 29 and can any 29 year old know what life is all about?
No pressure here PK!!
Howdy:
Apologies for the comments held up pending approval. Mondays are school days for me (as in ALL day), and I found five comments backed up here.
Irv: Apologies for revealing your age youth.
Waters: Thank You!
Canary: Thank you!
PDIWHO: Very generous, and thank you.
Pam: I actually own that toy! Long story for later…
Happymom: Thank You!
Defended: No, YOU rock. The strong tower description of our God is one of my favorites!

Thank you PK and PD for taking over the blog. I believe that you are just the folks to carry on the mission set forth by God Himself to bring forth Truth and the Light of Jesus Christ into very dark places.
Thank you, Fred!

I echo everyone’s sentiments, PK. Several SGM churches are still in the throes of upheaval now, which means so are their folks. My old church included. What a joy to be able to possibly say a kind word or speak a hard truth that might set someone free or just listen to their hearts for awhile. Thanks to Jim and Carole! Thanks to you and PD!
Okay, all this talk of Rocks now has this song running in my head.
By Larry Norman:
“Why should the Devil have all the Good Music?”
“….Jesus is the ROCK, and He’s Rolled my blues away….”
Enjoy it here:

Love ya PK & PD!
Defender,
Love your musical interludes. I’m certain our music libraries contained the same stuff back in our younger years. Phil Keaggy & now Larry Norman. Good stuff. I once had two cats I named “Larry” and “Norman.” Lame, I know…
P.D.
From our brief fellowship in S. Denver church, I knew we were of kindred spirits, You & PK, and Defended & Me.
I’m still converting my huge LP library to digital. (It takes time.)
I really mean it, we would love to get together sometime with you all.
As God provides.
We have a friend who had, at one time, three cats that followed her all around her house. She named them: Shirley, Goodness, and Mercy (will follow me all the days of my life….)
(For a biblical excuse to have three cats at one time, I’m sure.)
PK,
I like the name change. As frustrated as you get sometimes, it’s good to see that you still have hope for change.
Chuck
Thanks, Gracie.
Thanks, Chuck.
