For what it's worth, God has used this post to strengthen my faith and to open my eyes to where I still neglect to go directly to Jesus to fulfill the longings of my heart. God also opened my eyes more fully to the truth that Jesus is my answer. He is the way, the truth and the life. Greater love has no man. He [God] alone is my best friend forever. He alone always lives to intercede for me. He alone is my advocate forever. He alone is my righteousness. He [God] alone loves me always and forever. I am so encouraged! And now I'm in the process of searching the Scriptures for verses on "hope," and that is proving very encouraging as well.
