Can you describe the “Family Meeting”???  Question and Answer period?? Truth??
Rabbit trails /deflection…….or straightforward answers? 
Cautiously,what brought you to your above conclusions?

Defender said that if he hadn’t had his “proof” (tapes, notes, etc.) he would sometimes doubt what actually happened because it was so unbelievable!  I’ve met Defended and now understand how she could have sat through her SGM inquisition.  She is one tough lady.  If I’d gone through what she did I’d have been a little puddle of weeping, yellow feathers on the floor.  I have to give her her props for sticking it out so bravely.  Defender is also an inspiration for having faced the lion, so to speak.  We need more saints like this to stand up to controlling leaders who abuse their “authority”.  Time to say, “No more!”.

There are so many similarities, details, and such between Defender’s story and my own year and a quarter long ordeal, that I can scarcely believe it. I actually rubbed my eyes in disbelief at what I was reading. I just want to thank you, Defender, for posting your story. You never know when God will use something to minister to someone in difficult circumstances. I hardly expected this when I awoke this morning, stomach churning over my meeting today. Even things like my concern over whether or not it was legally acceptable for me to tape the phone conversation without the other person’s knowledge were answered by reading your story. God wastes nothing; he squeezes use out of every last detail, and often for years to come. So thank you! I don’t know how my situation will resolve itself. I’ve resigned from the board of the organization in question, and I’m much happier now. But my heart is leaping at the idea that God cares so much for me that He would have me sitting here reading your story before going into the fray one last time. I could share more if time, space, and conscience would permit, but it has nothing to do with SGM and wouldn’t provoke reconciliation at all, so I will refrain. God bless you! And thank you again, Defender, especially for the reinforcement of the Matt 18 “one on one” principles!!! As someone who was ambushed at a board meeting filled with PhD’s I heartily concur!

It’s a mystery what gets a guy fired in sgmville.  And it’s also a mystery how a guy can confess sins in secret mens’ meetings and NOT get fired, too (til years later).  Perhaps some sins don’t make in the phone-in confession to the Apostle.

There is ONE man who died for me to wash my sins away.  His name is JC (NOT CJ).  How absolutely terrifying to try to get in God’s way and usurp His position in another person’s life.  Terrifying.
